I see my art as capturing the essence of who God is. I am in awe of the world around me — its beauty and allure has captured my heart. My inspiration comes from God, as He opens my eyes to see the wonder of His creation. To combat all of the negative things that compete for our attention, I like to encourage people to focus on the positive side of life. My goal is to create images that invoke peace and joy; that bring healing to a broken world.

My journey began when I was quite young when my Dad helped me set up a black and white darkroom in our garage. There was magic that happened in that darkroom that I will never forget. Standing over that tray of developer with only the slight glow of the red safe light, my images would appear before my very eyes. I began as a photojournalist and sports photographer, but what really satisfied me the most was capturing the world around me and bringing joy to others through my vision.

I began studying everything I could get my hands on about art and technique to improve my skills and develop my own style of photography. When I moved to Maui, I was overwhelmed with the beauty all around me and wanted to capture each moment-in-time to share with as many people as I could. When photography changed from traditional silver halide into the new digital age, I had exciting new tools to use on the next leg of my journey to share the wonder of God’s creation.
